Bubble Plant
This is a very cute and undemanding plant. It has got this name because of its dark green and dense leaves that resemble bubbles. Since the Bubble plant is small and has dense leaves, it is highly suitable for hanging as well. Also, it is a popular pick for terrariums due to its adorable appearance.
Moreover, this plant has small aerial roots and it enjoys climbing on moss poles and wooden branches. In light, it prefers indirect light from the window.
Bubble Plant Care Guide
Light: Bubble plant-like indirect sunlight. So, provide them with at least 2-3 hours of daily sunlight. Morning sunlight is highly suitable for the bubble plant. So, place them near an east-facing window so that they can get ample light without getting burned.
Also, do not put them in total darkness. If they don’t get enough light, they will drop the leaves and will not grow properly.
Temperature: This plant grows well in normal room temperatures (20°C-21°C.) and is also tolerant of dry air.
Watering: During the active growth period, water plentifully as often as necessary to keep the soil moist. Watering them thrice a week is enough for their optimal growth.
During the resting time, water only to prevent the potting mixture from drying out. However, do not permit water to collect in the tight rosette.
Fertilizer: During the active growing period, use a standard liquid fertilizer every two weeks.
Soil: Dry and well-drained gritty soils are highly suitable for bubble plants. You can add sand to improve the garden soil drainage. Also, it grows pretty fast when you use loam soil. In addition, shredded leaves and finished compost work beautifully in creating rich, loamy soil as they decompose organic matter and also attracts beneficial organisms that help keep their soil healthy and alive.
However, it is important to discard excess water so as to ensure that the soil doesn’t stay soggy. Hence, we suggest you choose a pot with good drainage holes.
