Ashoka Plant

The wild evergreen tree Ashoka can be found in the Himalayas and across the Indian subcontinent. This evergreen, tall and slender Ashoka tree grows symmetrically and delivers fresh and brilliant green foliage. These can grow to a height of 6 to 9 meters, with leaves that are 15 to 25 cm long and green in color. With the spring, the Ashoka tree is covered in red blooms and appears to be quite lovely. The leaves are rectangular, paripinnate, and firmly sub-coriaceous, with 6 to 12 leaflets.

It’s an easy-to-grow, easy-to-prune tree that flowers profusely and has a compact curved canopy, making it an excellent choice for a houseplant or yard tree. The fruits are 6 to 10 inches long and resemble wide beans, with 6-8 grey-colored seeds that resemble chestnuts. Ashoka plant benefits are numerous.

Caring Tips

  • For the tree to thrive in natural bright light, it needs at least five to six hours of sunlight per day.
  • For good plant growth, You should water your tree adequately.
  • To water a plant properly, first determine the type of soil and type of soil drainage that is best for the plant.
  • In the summer, water your Ashoka thoroughly; in the winter and rainy season, water your plant less.
