Gulmohar Plant (delonix regia)
Delonix regia is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the family Fabaceae. It is popular for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of flowers. Also, in many tropical parts of the world, it is grown as an ornamental plant.
The Gulmohar plant is well-known as one of the most beautiful tropical plants in the world. It is an evergreen deciduous with the branches spreading wide and forming an umbrella-like canopy.
Additionally, it remains green throughout the year wherever there is enough water. However, in areas where it does not get enough water in the dry season or during times of drought, it will shed its leaves.

Light: Delonix regia do best in full sunlight, so choose an area that gets at least 6 hours of full sun a day. Without adequate light, you will miss the showy red-orange flowers for which the plant is known.
Soil: The Gulmohar plant will grow in a variety of soil conditions, as long as there is good drainage. So, make sure that the soil dries out between waterings. This plant will tolerate clay, loamy, sandy, or gravelly soils. However, after planting, cover the soil around the plant and leave some space near the trunk with a 2-inch layer of mulch.
Water: Water the plant on a regular basis during the spring, summer, and early fall. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy, until the roots become established.
Temperature: The Gulmohar plant cannot tolerate temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
