Syzygium plant

The leaves of Syzygium Lilly pilly give out a mild cinnamon scent when crushed. Additionally, its fruits look like berries. After ripening from green to dark red, they attract birds.

Traditionally a tropical garden plant, this Lilly pilly plant is slowly becoming recognized as a house plant. Slender branches of this plant are densely covered with rounded green leaves, spectacularly splashed with white.

Its odd-looking flowers are small and green, hiding under the foliage. But keep them moist. Also, make this beauty feel at home by boosting the humidity around it.

Care Guide

Sunlight: Sunny place with a light shading or eastern window is ideal for this plant. Syzygium plants, for a limited period of time, can withstand low light conditions. But in a very bright sun, a leaf burn is possible.

Watering: Abundantly water the plant (especially on hot days) with soft water once a week in summer and in colder months every 7-10 days.

Soil: Moist to well-drained soil, Humus enriched and loamy soils are highly suitable.

Temperature: The ideal temperature for the optimal growth of the Syzygium plant ranges from18 to 26℃.

Fertilizer: There is no such need for fertilizer. If you are sure about any deficiency in the soil then apply any organic fertilizer.
