Rubber trees, known as ficus elastica, can be cultivated as medium-sized home plants or as large, attractive indoor trees. The beautiful glossy leaves look great in most houses, and although young plants are modest at first, rubber plant varieties quickly fill an empty corner.

These plants are excellent for gifting your loved ones as they will cherish them forever. Rubber plant care is very easy, and it won’t trouble you very often. It outshines the other elements of the decor.

You can place these attractive rubber plant varieties on the table tops, corner tables, or center tables in the living rooms, bedrooms, or bathrooms. They make a great center of attraction with their dark glossy leaves.

These green beauties may reach tremendous heights in a matter of years, particularly if you keep them outdoors during the summer season. If you want to keep the rubber plant online tiny, put it in small pots. It will restrict the growth of the rubber plant varieties.

Rubber plant care instructions

  • Place the rubber plant online in a bright, well-lit area that receives morning or indirect sunshine. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, particularly in the afternoon, and else it may lose its appealing leaves.
  • In case of a pest attack, rubber plant care includes spraying neem oil.
  • Use a container with adequate drainage and a well-drained quality potting mix.
  • When the top one inch of rubber plant’s soil feels dry, water them. 
  • Provide adequate drainage for the plant and avoid overwatering, leading to root rot.
  • Rubber plants thrive in the air that is somewhat chilly, damp, and humid. You can use a humidifier or place it on a tray with pebbles and water to add humidity.
  • Once a week, wipe and clean the leaves with a damp sponge.
  • Overwatering or spraying the leaves with very cold water might cause the rubber plant online to lose its leaves.
