Peace Lily Plant (Spathiphyllum) – Large, 24–28 Inch Indoor Flowering Plant in Self-Watering Pot

The Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) is one of the easiest flowering plants to grow indoors. Its glossy, dark green leaves grow in a full, upright clump, and graceful white flowers rise above them on slim stems. This large plant stands about 24–28 inches (61–71 cm) tall overall and comes in a 5.5-inch cream plastic self-watering pot.

The self-watering pot has a water reservoir and a level window. Peace Lilies like evenly moist soil, so the reservoir helps keep the roots from drying out between waterings. When a Peace Lily is thirsty, its leaves droop, then perk up within hours of watering.

Where to place it: a living room, bedroom, office or any spot with bright, indirect light. It also copes with medium light, though it flowers more with more light. Keep it out of harsh direct sun, which scorches the leaves.

The Peace Lily was one of the plants tested in NASA's 1989 Clean Air Study, and it is a popular choice for bedrooms and offices. All parts of the plant are toxic if chewed, so keep it away from pets and small children.
