Rubber Plant
Rubber plants are known universally as reliable houseplants! The large, glossy, dark green leaves are leathery and have pale undersides. The rubber plant ‘Robusta’ forms a magnificent indoor tree over many years thanks to its upright habit.
A good specimen plant for north-facing rooms, this ‘easy to grow’ houseplant does well in bright or partially shaded conditions.
The broad, glossy leaves of a Rubber Plant draw attention. It looks beautiful when displayed as a centerpiece on your living room table, on a windowsill, or on a shelf for home decor. After your Rubber Plant grows taller, you can place it next to your TV set or in your living room and enjoy the tropical effect its branches will create.
Rubber Plant Care
Light: Rubber plants prefer bright light and a lot of it, but not direct sunlight. Rubber plants do best in an area shielded by a sheer curtain.
Water: When your plant is growing (summer), it should be kept moist. During the dormant season, you may need to water it only once or twice a month
Soil: A well-draining soil is essential for rubber plants, as they don’t like to sit in water. An aerated and well-draining potting soil is essential.
Fertilizer: Like most indoor plants, rubber plants need fertilizer only during the growing season.
