Aglaonema Costatum

Aglaonema costatum plant is short, spreading clumps of evergreen perennial herb or herbaceous shrub. The leaves of these plants are big and oval, with the entire leaf margin visible. The leaves are dark green in color with a white midvein stripe and several white irregularly shaped dots. Around the stem, petioles develop a whitish coating.

The most important thing to remember when caring for your aglaonemas costatum plant is to keep them warm and moist. If you do so, you’ll have a long-lasting, stable houseplant that won’t overflow its container anytime soon. Aglaonemas are considered one of the luckiest ornamental plants.

They grow slowly and only require repotting every other year. Aglaonema is a slow-growing plant that discloses its stems gradually. The white-spotted irregular foliage of aglaonema costatum makes it an excellent house companion. These aglaonema plants are easy to care for.

Care Guide

  • You should keep your aglaonema plants away from doors, air vents, and windows to avoid damage by drafts.
  • If the top layer of soil feels dry to the touch, immediately water your plants.
  • Plant in well-drained, fertile soil, such as humus-rich sandy soil. Mulch costatum plants heavily to keep the soil moist.
  • If you water your aglaonema plants with harsh or cold water, the leaves may become brown.
  • Feed these beauties with a half-strength fertilizer solution once a week.
  • For optimal results, allow potted plants to get slightly rootbound.
  • It thrives in humid conditions.
  • Spray leaves with warm, gentle, lime-free water on a frequent basis to enhance humidity, or set the pot on a bed of wet pebbles.
