Ficus Altissima Golden Gem

Ficus Altissima Golden Gem is known for being a beautiful and lush houseplant that is closely related to the ever-so-popular Fiddle Leaf Fig.

This Ficus produces attractive variegated leaves with lemon-lime green and dark green colors. Also, it is an excellent air purifier and grows very well in a small pot.

In warm regions, you can grow Ficus Altissima Golden Gem plants outside.

Moreover, this specific plant is much more forgiving and quite low maintenance plant.

Ficus Altissima Golden Gem Care Guide

Plant the Ficus Altissima Golden Gem in a well-draining potting mix. Also, plant it in a deep pot with drainage holes so the water can run out.

Place this plant near a window in a room that gets bright light in the summer with more moderate light in the winter. Moreover, rotate the plant occasionally so all the growth does not occur on one side.

Water the plant weekly during the summer with room-temperature water. Water the plant until it drains from the bottom of the pot. Also, discard the excess water if it flows into a pot.

Fertilize Ficus Altissima during the active growth period in summer. You will notice new leaves appear and branches grow during this time. You can use general-purpose fertilizer diluted to half strength and fertilize every three or four weeks until the active growth period ends.
