Bright light is essential. Place near a sunny window, balcony, or verandah. Jade can tolerate direct morning sun and thrives in well-lit indoor spaces.
Water sparingly. Allow soil to dry completely between watering. Overwatering is the most common mistake and should be avoided at all costs.
Feed lightly during active growth (February–October) with diluted succulent or bonsai fertiliser once every 4–6 weeks.
Jade responds very well to pruning. Trim back leggy growth to maintain compact shape. Best pruning time is spring and summer. Repot every 2–3 years using a fast-draining, gritty soil mix.
